Participation on the GENERA 2020, Energy and Environment Fair

GENERA 2020, Energy and Environment Fair, organised by IFEMA in collaboration with the IDAE, Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge) took place in Madrid from 5 to 7 February of 2020. The fair closed its 23rd edition with the attendance of 18,886 professionals from 64 countries, which represents an increase of almost 29% in participation compared to the previous edition in 2019. Visitors to the event had the opportunity to see what 237 companies from 16 countries had to offer.

“Energia Simples” had the opportunity to participate in GENERA, presenting the innovative side of company and introducing the audience to the FleXunity project.

With the slogan “Integrating Energies for a Sustainable Future”, GENERA proposed three fundamental strategic themes for this new edition: Sustainability, Innovation and Business.




GENERA is committed to the renewable energy industry sector, including distribution, energy efficiency and its main applications, such as storage, self-consumption and mobility, and to responding to the sector’s main challenges and business objectives and the commitment to decarbonising both economy and society. We work with the sector to promote an efficient and profitable transition in different economic sectors, to create new for business, employment and social opportunities.

The objective of FleXunity project is to deploy novel services for retailers and aggregators, enhanced by Virtual Power Plant (VPP) technology empowered with AI algorithms that can be focused on minimizing the cost of energy (bought in the wholesale market) and optimizing the use of distributed renewables from the utility or community portfolio.
